Initial Ideas

Brief:

I have recently been assigned to complete a preliminary task to create my                                                                                                                                 own music magazine front cover using Photoshop.

My plan:

·         I am planning to create a pop magazine front cover as It is one of my favourite genre of music and also because there are variety ways to represent pop since it’s so popular in the music industry.

·         My popular choice of genre will all me a have wide target audience. 

·         I hope achieve to a unique front cover, regardless that their is many pop magazines

·         I haven chosen between to rolling stone as my inspiration for my front cover as they have a wide variety of artists on their magazines. 

Masthead Ideas:

·         have decided to have my masthead at top of the page where it’s spread as like the name to big and bold.

·         I am not sure what to call my magazine yet but I will put in a large front so it’s stands out and will be able to see from a far distance.

·         I am planning to use different shades of blue and grey in my Masthead as it would be able to offset other colours I use in the cover.

Layout:

·         I plan to keep my magazine simple but unique at the same time I hope to achieve this by playing around with different colour shades and the unique ways I can add conventions in to my front cover. 

·         The photograph will big to make the feature of the artist stand out.

·         I plan to have not much text as I want all the attention on the artist. But have some small pull out quotes to make the audience more interested.

·         The feature colours will include light shades of blue, grey and a little of purple.

·          

Overall I think if I do everything step by step then I am confident my front cover will turn out great, I am looking forward to learn how to use Photoshop and the different functions you are able to do on it.
